I hope this reaches a human. I’ve been a long-time user (3+ years) and wanted to share some honest feedback. Lately, it feels like you’re putting too much focus on new AI features like avatars, voice dubbing, and AI music. But for those of us who make content daily, those aren’t the reasons we use Captions. There are already better tools for those jobs (Heygen for avatars, ElevenLabs for voice, Higfield and others for niche AI features). The real strength of Captions has always been: • Beautiful AI pre-edited themes • Smooth workflows that save time • Captions that make videos pop But that core hasn’t been evolving. Templates haven’t been updated in over a year, the desktop app is limited, and collaboration is clunky compared to competitors like Submagic. That’s why I recently switched – their workflow is simply faster for client work and team projects. What creators like me actually want from Captions: • More modern, professional templates (updated regularly and customizable) • A powerful desktop app with smoother workflow and more customization • Ability to re-use captions across multiple templates • Good music options (not AI music that sounds off, but real tracks for pro videos) • Support for longer edits (10–20+ min YouTube videos) • Better collaboration tools for agencies and teams I run a software development company myself, so I understand development takes time. I’m not unsubscribing immediately – I’ll give it a month or two – but if these core needs don’t move forward, I can’t justify staying. You had the chance to be the “Apple” of easy editing apps – simple, elegant, and it just works. That’s what creators want: a tool that elevates our content and workflow. Please don’t lose sight of that. Best regards, A long-time fan
