Move the subtitle for a part of the film

Stina Wernersson
I would like to move a part of the subtitle when it's in the way without moving all subtitles in the whole film.

Being able to adjust the placement of some of the captions

Currently if I adjust the position of my captions, the captions move for the entire video, from what I can tell I can’t separate a section of the captions and position them differently. For instance, I have a portion of my clip that needs captions to be at the top of the screen, and the second half would look better if the captions were in the middle of the screen

Seems like a dumb question, but how do I upgrade to 10.74? I'm on 9.4.0, and I'm not seeing an update available within the app or in the Apple app store?
Captions
Violet Bow: Here's how to update to the latest version:
- Open the App Store
- Tap on your profile picture on the top right
- Pull down the page to refresh
- Tap UPDATE

We released a new feature called Keyframes that allows you to adjust the position and size of your captions throughout your project.
To add a keyframe to your video:
- Make sure you're on version 10.74 or higher
- Tap Keyframes.
- Adjust the timeline where you'd like to add a keyframe.
- Drag the caption to the desired location. You can also adjust the size of the captions by pinching with two fingers.
- Choose your animation curve.
- Tap Apply

Captions: WOW! I’ve been plowing through reels/shorts for my clients so much that I didn’t even stop to check this feature out! Well done!

The app is great! Really. And I would use it for all our productions if I were able to place the translated captions at the bottom of out 16x9 productions. Now the app is unusable for us, unfortunately. I think this must be possible, not?

move individual words around the screen
J
Junior Lindo
The ability to move a certain word to another part of the screen would help when highlighting things in a video.

I was just coming here to make this suggestion. I would add it would be nice if you can change the style as well as the caption location.

I like the CapCut implementation of this. Set the position/font/colour for everything, then a tickbox on individual caption blocks to say "this deviates from the norm" - changes made to unticked captions don't replicate to the others.
