Replace Video Without Regenerating Captions
N
Niels
This feature allows users to replace an existing video file within a project without losing previously generated and edited captions. When making minor edits to a video, users can simply swap the file, ensuring that captions remain intact, eliminating the need to regenerate and re-edit them repeatedly. This saves time and streamlines the workflow for video editors handling client revisions.

Replace Video in Desktop Version
Simon Kyller
Hi Captions Team,
I use your app extensively for my social media content creation and love the automatic subtitle feature.
In the iPhone app, there’s an option to replace a video, which is extremely useful. However, this feature is missing in the desktop version. Since I often edit in Premiere Pro and need to make adjustments to my videos, it would be great if I could simply replace an existing video in Captions without losing my subtitles and manual edits.
This would be especially helpful for Swiss German to English translations, as I often need to manually correct the subtitles. Having to create a new project every time adds unnecessary steps. This feature would be a real game-changer!
Looking forward to your feedback!
Best regards,Simon
